It stands out with its vibrant yellow cap and typically grows on fallen elm trees. It's often referred to as the "phantom mushroom" because it's only harvested during a short period in the summer and tends to be found deep within the mountains, making it quite rare.
Tamogitake contains a notable amount of health-promoting compounds, particularly the amino acid ergothioneine and glycine. These substances offer potential antioxidant benefits and support beauty and well-being.
